We Give Back!

We created Belfast Dental Cares Day (a day of free dental care) to provide dental care to Maine’s underserved communities—giving aid to the growing number of people who can't afford dental services. People who are unable to visit the dentist miss out on preventative dental care that could greatly help both their oral health and overall health. With Belfast Dental Cares Day, people who can't regularly visit the dentist can still improve the quality of their health!

We Care.

Our approach to diversity is simple: it's about embracing everyone. From building a practice where all employees can bring their best selves to work to providing dental care that supports everyone in the community.

COVID. It’s a Thing.

We have all been through a lot this past year. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to patient and employee safety. Before reopening the practice June 1, 2020, following an 11-week pandemic closure, we were busy working on your behalf to ensure our safety protocols meet or exceed government recommendations.

Here’s a sample of some of the changes we’ve made to help protect our patients and staff:

  • Our office communicates with every patient a few days before their scheduled appointment to ask COVID-19 health-related screening questions. Patients are rescreened on the day of their appointment, before
  • coming in to the office.
  • All employees receive a health screening at the start of their shift and all guests are screened, too.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office.
  • You will also find the front desk reception area has been upgraded with sneeze shields.
  • Employees will be adhering to rigorous hand hygiene protocols and upgraded personal protective equipment, including: face masks, face mask coverings, caps, face shields, gloves, equipment (and more).
  • Additional sanitizing stations have been set up around the office in key locations for you to use as needed.
  • Washrooms are also available throughout the office.
  • You will notice that our reception areas no longer offer reading materials since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. FREE Wi-Fi is available throughout the office.
  • We are reducing the number of patients in the reception area at any one time—requiring some patients to wait outside rather than being seated in the waiting area, as a result.
  • All work areas and common areas have also been fitted with the additive protective measure of HEPA air purification systems, which works to capture virus-sized particles.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing and enhanced disinfecting protocols to be completed between patients.

Our infection control protocols are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we think it’s a good idea to remind you about the infection control recommendations we follow, which include: the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We continuously monitor these agencies so that we are always up-to-date on any new guidance that may be issued.
